After months of intentional planning, my wife and I are embarking on a lifelong dream: a multi-country journey across continents.
This is not just a vacation—it is an intentional season to slow down, immerse ourselves in local communities, and broaden our perspective on how the world lives and creates. We wanted to experience the beauty of our planet firsthand while our curiosity and energy are at their peak.
Weeks per location instead of days. Finding apartments, shopping neighborhood markets, and getting to know communities.
Doing this while we have the physical stamina and adventurous appetite to walk miles and hike mountains.

How are you managing to take extended time off of work?
After several years working in the consulting industry, I resigned from my role, traded stability for uncertainty, and came upon the glorious opportunity of not having a job dictate when I can travel and for how long.
Said in fewer words, I'm now accepting work as an Independent Consultant, which affords me a great deal more flexibility to work how I prefer.
Why are you doing this journey now instead of waiting for retirement?
Tomorrow is never guaranteed, and our health, stamina, and curiosity are here today. We believe life's defining adventures shouldn't be deferred to a distant future.
Traveling now allows us to experience the world with open eyes, adapt to unfamiliar challenges, and bring fresh perspectives back into our lives and work.
Are you still taking on AI consulting projects while traveling?
Yes, on a selective basis. I reserve a limited number of asynchronous advisory retainers and strategic architecture reviews that do not require 9-to-5 synchronous presence.
